Trauma Counseling

Trauma is any deeply disturbing event or experience. Some common examples of trauma are the death of a loved one, especially a child, physical or sexual abuse, neglect of a primary caregiver, witnessing another’s trauma, or serving in a war. Acute stress, such as a nasty divorce, loss of a job, sudden homelessness, or other unexpected life experiences can lead people to feeling acute stress. Post Traumatic Stress and Acute Stress Disorder can be successfully treated utilizing EMDR, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, as an intervention. EMDR reprocesses current feelings as well as old memories or events in much the same way that we do naturally in our sleep when we are in Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep. Dr. Caudle is a trained EMDR clinician, as well as trained High Speed Trauma Therapy clinician. Dr. Caudle has helped thousands of people move through their trauma successfully, so that they can live their lives free from fear, guilt, shame, and anxiety.
